Ally's first "meal" (5 months)

After 5 months and one day of waiting, Allison finally had her first meal- rice cereal and peaches. She loved each bite and could not get enough. She was very excited and did a great job keeping most of it in her mouth.

This is Ally before she had her first bite - all clean and soft!

She did pretty well with the spoon!

I guess the tarp and protective eye gear was not needed because this is the aftermath which is not too bad for her first time eating. GO ALLY!

Cuddle Time

Ally's favorite past time is cuddling with mom and dad. She has also taken on her mother's childhood habit of sucking the thumb... hopefully Ally will be broken of this habit faster than her mom was when she was young.

The "GREAT ONES"

Three days before she turned 5 months old, Allison had a nice dinner with her great grandparents. She was very fascinated by great grandma's pretty necklace and loved being in the arms of the great ones!

Summer Daze

With the temperatures rising this summer, Ally has been staying cool in her cute little sun dresses supplied from her cousin Julia.

Allison and Friends

Allison visited some of her mommy's friends. Ally met mommy's long time friend Larry and her good friend Courtney at her Napa pre-wedding party.

Uncle Chad

At 4 months, Allison finally met her Uncle Chad who had been studying abroad in England. She absolutely LOVED being in the arms of Chad and she charmed her way into his heart as they exchanged smiles and giggles.

Tahoe (4 months old)

For the 4th of July, Allison went up to the cabin in Tahoe and had a blast with grandma, grandpa, Jake and even great grandma! We went on hikes and tried out the new baby backpack! Along the hike to Talack Mountain, Ally chatted with daddy, mommy and grandpa Mike. She liked being in the shade of the backpack while her family trail blazed up the mountain together. At the end of the hike we were so tired that we left our backpack in the trunk of the car and unfortunately, a bear reminded us about it that night.

In the morning we found all four car doors politely opened and the back seat torn out. In addition, the bear tried out my lip gloss, lotion and a dose of pepper spray. (Touche Mr. Bear) Fortunately, the bear was unable to get to the trunk and the baby seat and car doors were left unharmed - very little damage was done. We will never leave any traces of food or interesting smells in the car - even dirty diapers!

While Ally was in Tahoe, she had a bath in the turkey pan and we call the first picture seen "Allison soup."

Wedding Bells

Towards the end of June, Ally's cousin Kevin was married. Although we do not have any pictures with the bride and groom, Allison was constantly swarmed by Grant's fraternity brothers whom also attended the wedding. Ally worked up a sweat on the dance floor with relatives and even did a daddy daughter dance.

Baby Talk

This was just a funny day capturing Allison's many adorable faces, cute giggles and baby talk.

Southern California Trip!

In June, Allison was 4 months and ready to see more of Califonia. We went down to stay at her Aunt Enid's home in Pismo Beach. This was Allison's first time at the beach and she loved the soothing sounds of the waves crashing along the coast and the birds flying around. Within 10 minutes of these tranquil beach walks she was asleep but she had a great time watching the tides.

Santa Ynez Valley

During this journey to So. Cal., Allison also saw where her parents liked to go on dates, before she was born, in the Santa Ynez wine country. Although she did not partake in the wine, Allison loved being outdoors among the vineyards and hanging out with mom and dad.

Santa Barbara (3 months)

We also hung out in Santa Barbara for a couple days and went to an Arts Festival. We hung out with friends and Allison also unexpectedly met a cousin of hers, Matt, that also happened to be in the area too.
